This works great for a standing desk, and for general walk/runs at home. It goes up to a descent speed, so you can get a descent sweat going. It's very easy to set up, move, and store away when not using it. I'm 5'5 and my strides fit great for my exercise, and my 6'2 partner is able to walk/jog at ease also. This is a great solution for getting steps on during the winter when it's cold and dark outside.
